Minuteman™ self lube PTFE composite linear/rotary bearings are lined with
a Self Lubricating PTFE
Composite which is bonded to an machined
aluminum shell. It is a combination of PTFE and nonabrasive, polyimide fillers.
This composite is the industry leader in both load and coefficient of
friction. Because Minuteman’s™ fillers are nonabrasive, it runs equally
well on both hardened RC60 and 300 series ( soft ) stainless
steel shafting.

This bearing excels in:

  • automation systems

  • packaging machinery

  • food process equipment

  • medical & pharmaceutical equipment

  • wood and flooring machinery

  • carpet & tufting machinery

  • washdown systems

Minuteman™ Ceramic Coated linear/rotary bearings employ a hard ceramic
coating over a machined aluminum shell. This tough, inert coating is file
hard and FDA/USDA compliant. Minuteman’s™ ceramic coating will not flake,
chip or fracture. This linear bearing REQUIRES LUBRICATION* and has
been tested to 100 million linear feet of travel with .000040 wear! It was
declared an Important New Product Innovation ( INPI ) by engineers
and machinery designers upon its release to the marketplace in 1976.

This bearing excels in:

  • applications where lubricants are in use
  • vacuum applications where vacuum grease is employed
  • food applications where FDA approved greases are employed

* A light oil or grease is sufficient. DO NOT USE SILICON BASED LUBRICANTS
